Crop protection practices and risks associated with human fungal infectious diseases: a One Health perspective

چکیده
We review interactions between crop protection practices (developed to control plant pathogens and invertebrate pests) human fungal infectious diseases. Unlike viral, bacterial parasitic infections, infections in humans are usually only superficial healthy individuals, but can become invasive pose serious risks immunosuppressed individuals. Although their global impact is less than that of other diseases, still public health issues. For instance, the use synthetic agricultural fungicides, particularly azole class, under conventional intensive, or efficiency improvement-based practices, at risk as far antimicrobial resistance concerned, due cases cross-resistance clinical azoles used treat pulmonary aspergillosis, candidiasis cryptococcocis. In this respect, One Health approach, originally designed for types pathogens, looks relevant pathogenic fungi. Additionally, some entomopathogenic fungi biocontrol products against pests a substitution-based may be potentially humans. Very few examples redesign-based ( i.e. Agroecological Crop Protection) emerged from our analysis on However, discontinuing fungicides (as practiced organic farms, which extent related redesign strategy) appears best way reduce selection pressure hence level azole-resistant strains environment.

Infectious Diseases Associated with Livestock Production Mitigating Future Risks Humans have traveled with their livestock to the ends of the earth, and animal husbandry has transformed the face of the planet. متن کاملFruits Contaminated with Lead, Cadmium and Nitrate are the Risks to Human Health: A seasonal study
Background: Consumers may be contaminated by various food intakes as one of the most important sources of organic and inorganic pollutants associated with agriculture. The aim of this study was to evaluate the lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and nitrate contaminations in watermelon and carrot samples and the associated risks to human health. Methods: In this cross sectional study, 108 samples of wat...

Infectious diseases represent an ever-changing field of practice. Virtually each week brings new information, some with the potential to adjust or reinvent the current clinical practice. It is our task as clinicians to browse through field literature, through reports of randomized controlled trials, excerpts of conference proceedings, and to choose relevant scoops with high applicability in pat...
